Sincethe21stcentury,China’srisehasbecomeafact,andPeople’sLiberationArmyhasdevelopedratherquickly.Thusso-calledChina’smilitaryrisehasbecomethemostchallengingphenomenoninworldpolitics.RegardingtoitsarmybuildingandreadinessmanystudieshaveshownthatthePeople’sLiberationArmy,in2020,willformacomplete(anti-access/areadenial)capabilities,capableenoughtoturnChinaintoagreatmilitarypowerinAsia-Pacific.
ItwillhaveanimpactontheAsia-Pacificregionalstability,thecross-straitmilitarybalance,andunderUntiedStatesre-balancestrategy.UnderChina’smilitarythreat,Taiwanmustbeinnovativeintermsofstrategicthinkingandconcept.
